English B'Yachad carefully matches students to tutors.
Students and tutors are interviewed to assess their skill and ability levels. We strive to match individuals who are likely to form a mutually beneficial connection.
Sapir and I have so much in common, besides both being in high tech. Today she’s a programmer for an HR resource company. I get to Israel regularly, so we even meet in person!

Our pairing process takes into account factors including the:
-
student’s English language skills
-
student’s goals and professional interests
-
tutor’s professional background
-
tutor’s Hebrew language or ESL skills
-
common personal interests
If a student’s English skills are at a basic level, the student is paired with a tutor who either speaks Hebrew, has ESL experience, or both. This approach helps to jumpstart the student’s learning experience.
Our main goal is to match volunteers and students whose background and skills complement each other. This ensures a fulfilling and rewarding experience for everyone.
