For Young Israeli Adults - Opportunity
We empower young Israelis, such as IDF veterans and Ethiopian Israelis, to overcome obstacles and achieve their dreams of success through improved English skills.
English B’Yachad levels the playing field for job opportunities.
Jobs requiring English tend to offer higher salaries. The differentiating factor for candidates with otherwise equivalent skills is English fluency. That’s why our English tutoring and professional guidance, coupled with our partners' employment training, are key to our students' success.
Israel’s most vulnerable populations typically earn less than the average citizen. Ethiopian households earn significantly less than the average Israeli household.

For Older Adults - Fulfillment
We engage the passion, expertise and time of the most underutilized Jewish volunteer group—retired professionals—in meaningful mentoring opportunities.
We provide a sense of purpose and a connection to Israel.
While baby boomers represent about 35% of the American Jewish population, there are few organized volunteer roles leveraging their professional expertise and Jewish passion.

English B'Yachad is the exception, providing volunteer opportunities for mature professionals working with students, other tutors and in professional roles within our organization.
By empowering older adults to contribute to the Jewish community and the causes they care about, we create a lasting legacy for future generations. Meaningful volunteering allows seniors to remain productive and challenged.
