Volunteer Program - English B'Yachad
What is the English B'Yachad
volunteer program?

English B’Yachad is the flagship program of Skilled Volunteers for Israel.
Our volunteers, mostly retired Jewish professionals, provide online English language tutoring to young adults from less-advantaged communities in Israel.
What is the purpose of the program?
The goal of the English B'Yachad program is to enhance our students' English fluency. This enables them to compete on a level playing field in the job market for higher-level opportunities in the Israeli labor market.

English B'Yachad
means English Together.
In weekly individualized online sessions, you’ll serve as a conversation partner.
Together, explore subjects of interest as you build student confidence and fluency.
As a coach and mentor, you’ll discover your support is transformative—empowering your student to speak confidently in career scenarios such as job interviews, presentations, meetings, and office conversations.
Tutors help
transform lives.
English B’Yachad provides volunteers a genuinely meaningful way for volunteers to connect with Israel, while helping students achieve their dreams of socioeconomic success.
