I find it astonishing how we, who were strangers before we began our weekly Hebrew lessons together, are so in sync, and sympatico with each other. It’s as if we were hand picked to be together, but we weren’t. How is it that we all share such a deep love of Israel, the Hebrew language, Israeli music and poetry, and of course, teaching our Israeli students? Our group was formed as a side interest group, pulled from teachers in English B’Yachad who simply wanted to practice and improve our Hebrew by speaking together. Although we have never met in person, we have developed a close and warm bond amongst ourselves through our weekly Zoom meetings.
