At English B’Yachad, our volunteer tutors are already making a meaningful impact—helping Israeli adults improve their English skills, boosting confidence, and building cross-cultural connections.
Our tutors are busy people. So how can we use AI to help design learning sessions tailored to your student?
Artificial Intelligence is transforming education, and for English B’Yachad tutors, it can be a powerful assistant. You don’t need to be tech-savvy to benefit from it. Here’s how AI can support and inspire your tutoring sessions.
Personalized Lesson Support
Not sure how to explain a tricky grammar point? Want a few extra practice questions? Tools like ChatGPT can instantly provide grammar explanations, vocabulary lists, conversation starters, or sample dialogues—all tailored to your student’s level. You can even ask AI to create a mini-lesson plan based on your student's goals.
How do you do this? Provide a prompt that asks exactly what you are seeking, such as:
Can you write a short dialogue for an Israeli English learner practicing the past tense in a job interview?"
English B'Yachad Tutor Rami G asked AI to design a lesson for him on Dance - a subject that interested his student. AI created a simple lesson for Rami and he even asked AI to add images.

A Word of Caution
AI is a helpful tool—but you are the heart of the tutoring relationship. Human connection, encouragement, and empathy are what truly make a difference. AI should support, not replace, your instincts as a mentor and guide.
At the end of the day, AI can help you do what you already do best—just with a little more ease.
Whether you use it to brainstorm, clarify, or inspire, AI is another tool in your tutoring toolkit. And like everything in English B’Yachad, it’s about creating meaningful connections—one conversation at a time.
